Of course....once again Sziget Festival is now ON in Budapest on the Óbudai Island!
Sziget Festival is one of the largest annual events happening in Europe. For this one, it is happening in Budapest every year for five days on the island called 'Obudai'. Some called this island 'Hajógyári Sziget' of which the word 'Hajógyári' means 'Shipyard'.
Party goers are usually campers meaning they buy camping tickets that allows them to camp on the island for the whole duration of this festival. They are entitled to all the stages, be it for cultural performances or musical 'live' bands. It is quite funny to see the mini village which is there every year.
I remembered the first time seeing the practical stores/stalls they have such as bank, post office, grocery store and a marriage centre where couples who met on the island or 'planning to get married' can officiate their marriage :)
Of course, it is for PURE fun!
