Between 16 and 20 of August an exhibition will be held on the 56-osok tere in Budapest called Borfalu. The event unfortunatelly doesnt have an English website but some of the exhibitors have it...so I will try to show you the athmosphere of the event through their links.

Rubin Wine is the first one. It’s Balatonboglári Cabernet Sauvignon, from 2003. The harvest is considered one of the best in last years. The grape had been gathered at a top of the Kecskés Mountain and ripened in oak-barrels for a year. After careful selection the best berries were placed into bottles, which are decorated by the jewels. You’ll understand why it’s named so if you only have a look at the bottle.

A long time ago an emerald was considered a symbol of immortality and eternal youth. Smaragd Wine is in harmony with its ancient tradition. This young Rhine Riesling 2006 was made by reductive technology. Important to mention, that the wine’s color has a memorable emerald green tint.

The third wine will be Topáz. About this wine you’ll know a bit later. Now we can tell you only that it’s Tokaji wine. (source)

Maybe the name of the wine is unknown to many people. Sándor Márai has started its story. He is considered with Béla Hamvas and Gyula Krúdy side by side as the writers who had been writing a lot about wines. Márai had mentioned in his stories about the great pleasure of talking, drinking a glass of a good wine and sitting on a terrace. The wine is light and great for keeping any conversation.
